Pumpkins!!!!!

I love fall and this 4 Corner Pumpkin Penny Rug can be used to decorate your table top

in so many ways. I use it as a tree skirt for my Halloween Feather Tree, but it

can also be used as a candle mat, or placed under a dish of candy. What would you use it for?

I really like the organic flow of the pumpkins, leaves and vines set against the geometric black woolfelt background. A unique and beautiful penny rug. One of my favorites.

It measures approximately 14" x 14" from pumpkin point to pumpkin point,

and 11.5" x 11.5" from blank point to blank point.

My Studio's New Look!!!!!

About a month ago I decided to redo my studio. Boy, am I glad I did!!!!

The way this room is set up now is so organized

and easy to keep that way!!!!

Something new . . .

You know that I have made several mug/candle mat, penny rug and table runner designs

using woolfelt and wool. Yes, my designs are unique and . . . sigh, beautiful.

(Giggle, I LOVE what I come up with!!)

But I got to thinking about how almost common these designs were

becoming. So, I started working on a new twist to my designs.

I am a weaver and love working with yarn. I began experimenting with these weavings

and have now started making my own 100% wool fabric! I enjoy "designing" my

unique fabric and then using it as design elements in my patterns. I will also begin to

use more embroidery stitches to accent these elements.

Below is just the beginning. This is my first piece using my woven fabric.

There will be a lot more to come so stay in touch!

The black is woolfelt. The light and dark grey, and red fabric was woven by me.

The mat is approximately 7" in diameter ~ perfect for a bud vase, cup or glass.

Happy 2015!!!!!!

So much happened in 2014, and although I could say that I was happy to see it end,

I can honestly say it was a good year, and I am grateful for the experiences.

But seriously, isn't that the way it is each year?

I've really "fine-tuned" the direction of Pinetree Studios ~ yes there are still

more than one distinct "studios" in my studio!

Lots of down-sizing as "they" say and I am quite happy with the results!

BUT . . .  I am always allowed to change my mind!!!!

So, lots of new fabric designs in the works already,

e-patterns, finished designs, and kits too.

A new line of embellishments.

A new line of artwork.

It's going to be a fun, full, fantastic year!
