More weaving . . .

I really am having a wonderful time weaving these table runners/decoration mats!

My problem is that every one that I make, I want to keep or give away.

I have just listed four of them on my ETSY Store.

I am going to continue making them.

Seeing what weaves up on my loom is a process I love!

Each are woven with either a 100% cotton thread or a 

cotton/linen yarn and high quality Batik Fabric.

A new table runner!

For a while now, I have been wanting to weave a table runner

using fabric. I have read a lot of information that is available on the Internet

as well as in some of my books and including purchasing patterns. Never felt quite

comfortable in taking the plunge. BUT, I finally did! 

I am really glad I did the research ~ no one resource
had all of the answers, tips or techniques.

My suggestion for anyone who wants to make one of these is to simply do it!

Gary and I are in a totally wonderful

design mode.

Can't tell you what it is yet. Hopefully within

Splender in the Sierras

Dogwoods

My first exposure to them was through my dad.

He had several in his yard and I remember the photos he

would send to me. Some were white and some pink.

I was always amazed at why he seemed to take ownership of them ~

he was so proud that these trees were on his property! Yes, they were lovely.

Then I moved from the concrete jungle to the Sierras and WOW!

I finally understood what dad was talking about.

MY Dogwood trees are ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!

 

I just can't get enough of these trees!!!

So ~ in honor of my dad and these trees I have made

a Dogwood Table Runner.
